Thank author of this post/commentSilicon have the monopoly over electronic devices but the mere inflexibility of the semiconductor makes it impossible to be everywhere. There is a new successful research that gave birth to the first computer processor and memory chips that are made out plastic semiconductors. This gives a possibility that computing would be everywhere.
