|  Why don't you switch to Linux... Ubuntu linux will split your harddrive when you install it so you can keep Windows Vista on there as a "safety blanket" hahaha... and when you start your computer select whether you want boot windows vista or linux. |

| Ubuntu will have no problem accessing your Windows files.... windows probably won't be able to access your unbuntu files... A normal install of ubuntu (that includes firefox, open office and bunches more) seems to use about 6 gigs of hard drive. With today's drives of 250, 500 or more... you should have plenty of space. |
| Windows Vista is a flunk. Windows XP is still the most stable Windows operating system to date, even windows 7 has its incompatibility with most softwares and computer programs. I haven't tried any independent operating systems, like Ubuntu or Linux but I think you can should try it as well. |
